# Can I use 4G or Satellite for monitoring my xtender and vario system?

Yes you can use 4G or Satellite. There are two communication solutions and accessories available for your xtender and vario system to communicate with our monitoring solutions.

1. **xcom GSM or xcom 4G**This system includes a 3G or 4G Modem to insert your local SIM card with data package for GPRS or 3G/4G internet connection.
2. ****xcom LAN****This system includes a LAN Modem to connect with your LAN router for internet connection.
    To use a Satellite connection, the xcom LAN allows connecting a satellite modem for the internet connection. Satellite modem are not provided by Studer Innotec.
