The variotrack vt65/80 will be upgraded from 150 to 175Vdc!
Over the last 10 years, solar modules have become more accessible and efficient. The size of modules and the number of cells have also changed. From 60 cells, the standard has risen to 72 or even 144 half-cells.
This has led to changes in a variety of technical data: open-circuit voltage, current, temperature coefficients, etc. In response to these developments, we will be upgrading our vt65 and vt80 models from an input voltage of 150 to 175Vdc. They will become vt65-175 and vt80-175.
It will be possible to connect 3 large 72-cell panels to the vt65/80-175, while allowing you to keep a comfortable margin at the maximum operating voltage, even if the ambient temperature is low.
In addition to open-circuit voltage, other improvements will be made to these new variotracks:
- Improved efficiency thanks to strict selection of electronic components.
- Improved internal construction for better thermal management. The device will be able to deliver the same power at an ambient temperature 5 degrees higher.
These new models will be available from March 2025, at the same price as their 150Vdc version.
Drop in the price of the vt40 by 2025!
We will apply a 20% reduction to the price of vt40 from 2025.
It will also be called vt40-145 from 2025.
